Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

We are committed to fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) across all our brands, including the Women in Tech World Series, which is dedicated to advancing equity and progress within technology. Our mission is to create platforms that showcase technology while actively working to promote a more equitable and fair economy reflective of society.

We believe that diversity is not only essential for innovation but is also a fundamental value that enriches our communities and drives positive change. Through our events, we strive to amplify underrepresented voices, celebrate diverse perspectives, and provide inclusive spaces for all individuals to thrive.

Our commitment to DEI extends beyond our events to our organisational culture, partnerships, and community engagement efforts. We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique talents and ideas.

We recognise the critical importance of DEI within digital infrastructure and the wider telecoms and technology sector. As technology continues to shape every aspect of our lives, it is essential that the industry reflects the diversity of the global population it serves. By fostering an inclusive tech ecosystem, we can harness the full potential of diverse perspectives, experiences, and talents to drive innovation and solve complex challenges.

Promoting DEI within technology is not only a matter of fairness but also a strategic imperative for building products and services that meet the needs of diverse users.

By championing diversity and inclusion within the tech industry, we aim to move the needle towards a future where opportunities are accessible to all, regardless of background or identity. Together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable economy that benefits individuals, businesses, and society as a whole.

Our sustainability pledge.

Sustainability is woven into the fabric of our operations. We are dedicated to minimising our environmental footprint, conserving resources, and promoting eco-friendly practices in all aspects of our events and operations. By prioritising sustainability, we aim to lead by example in the events industry, demonstrating that innovation and technological advancement can go hand in hand with environmental stewardship. Together, we are committed to shaping a more sustainable future for our planet and our communities.

Where possible we choose venues that are accessible by public transport, use renewable energy in their event spaces, have water-saving initiatives in place, reduce waste going to landfill and donate any left-over food to charities.

We also support the reduction of paper used at our events through digital products and eliminate single-use plastic wherever we can.

Following best available science on the impacts of climate change, we acknowledge that there is an urgent need to accelerate the transition towards global net zero emissions, and for the events industry to play its part in helping to deliver the goals of the Paris Agreement and ensuring a just transition.

Recognising that the events industry is comprised of a complex and fragmented mix of stakeholders from across the globe, we acknowledge that while individual companies and organisations may take specific actions to minimise their carbon impact, to drive meaningful progress a system-wide approach is also needed.

In this context, we commit to support the goal of net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050, in line with global efforts set out by the Paris Agreement to limit warming to 1.5°C and reduce total global GHG emissions by 50% by 2030, and to actively promote and advocate for industry efforts throughout the value chain.
